Balance the Conscious and Unconscious Minds for Relationship Success

Balance
To conclude our discussion on the unconscious mind running our relationships, I want you to remember: There are no accidents in the universe.

We attract what we need and want. If we need a teacher, the right one will appear.

Relationships are failing at an alarming rate; maybe it is time to start learning from our failures.

We can’t consciously think ourselves into a successful relationship.

We need to balance our conscious and unconscious minds in order to learn and grow from our mistakes and failures, while facing our fears in our commitment to grow and develop.

Relationship Skills Must Be Developed

Boys In school, boys were never taught how to treat girls; they were always told what not to do, never what to do to enhance communication, foster commitment, or how to develop conflict resolution skills.

We learned from our parents, if we were lucky enough to have both parents.

PrincessIf the father wasn’t present most young women missed the crucial training on how a man treats a goddess.

Girls were unconsciously programmed by fairy tales to believe in fantasies.

The male mind is always measuring, conquering and solving problems involving money, cars, computers and other technical issues.

Think about this for a few days - and we'll be back with more next time!

We'd love to hear your comments - please post them below!

Tuesday, May 26th - What You Must Know About Internet Dating - if you're one of the 44 million singles on the internet, you must attend this teleseminar! Register here!

Tips to Cultivating Intimacy in Relationships

Intimacy
To cultivate intimacy, learn and study the keys for a successful relationship. Know what your soul requires, not just what you want. What your soul requires is not optional, what you want can change with age and wisdom.

Identify your top twenty values and choose someone who shares them. Select someone who is committed to growth and development. They will be more likely to seek and accept help during a relationship crisis.

Also, maintain your autonomy. Becoming too attached to the relationship can cause us to lose our self-respect and self-love. People must find ways to meet this and other needs even when their lives are full with children, friends, family or life partners.

Most importantly, consciously choose a great communicator or someone who is willing to work on becoming a more effective communicator. This includes the ability to compromise on the most difficult and unpleasant issues. A win-win attitude will not allow both people to get their needs met.

Finally, be an example of what you want. Seek to give rather than to receive. Provide an affectionate touch, actively listen, make eye contact, make your hellos and good-byes meaningful and try to understand your partner. Before pointing the finger and talking about how you’re not getting what you want, ask yourself if you’re giving it. Lead by example.
