About Melvin and Sherrie Allen

First, we are a consciously loving couple. We are relationship coaches, mentors, facilitators, trainers and speakers. In our community, we are warmly referred to as the “relationships couple” because we model and symbolize a spiritually conscious relationship.

As a couple we have read the books, gone to school, struggled with our humanity and experienced the ups and downs of failed relationships. We believe having relationship skills and tools, are critical to the success of any relationship. Our focus is to enlighten singles and couples in the unconscious areas of relationships, what you don’t know you don’t know, becomes knowledge and awareness leads to peace, understand, and acceptance of yourself and others.

We have been guests on numerous radio and television programs, including the award winning show “Starting Over” on NBC, and host a local cable show called "Relationships 911," in Los Angeles, CA.

We are both enrolled and obtaining Ph.D.’s in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. In addition, we have master's degrees in Spiritual Psychology and training in Soul-Centered Education from the University of Santa Monica. As a couple we have over 35 years of ontological studies. As students and graduates of Relationship Coaching Institute, we have coached therapists, ministers, and coaches from around the world on relationship skills.

We are among the few relationship coaches in the world, trained by Dr. David Olson, world-renowned creator of Prepare/Enrich, to administer a relationship assessment program for premarital, and married couples. In addition, Melvin has studied under Dr.’s Helen and Harville Hendrix, learning the Imago Dialogue process, which we offer and use in our couples program. We have facilitated hundreds of seminars, events and courses for singles and couples around the country.

For the last five years, we have volunteered twice a year to work with female inmates at the Valley State Women’s Prison in Chowchilla, CA with the "Freedom to Choose" workshop sponsored by the University of Santa Monica. We also serve as a couple in the Trinity Care Hospice Program.
